Living in today’s unpredictable world, you are guaranteed to experience challenges. What about that challenge that rocks your world?

It’s inevitable. Shift happens.

You disconnect. You become apathetic. You come out of balance. You choose victimhood.

In trying to make sense of the discombobulation, your mind becomes a battleground of contradictory thoughts. You second-guess and doubt yourself. You blame others. As a consequence, your body expresses the damage. Your stomach ties itself in knots, reducing your digestive system’s ability to nourish your very cells. The pain in your back prevents you from a good night’s sleep.

Your symptoms are emotions that you have suppressed along the way. And they have now risen to the surface to be heard. Symptoms are the language of your spirit talking through your body. Are you listening?

The Ego and The Spirit

The ego and the spirit may appear antagonistic. The ego is eager to have what you want. The spirit is content to want what you have. The ego is a know-it-all. The spirit is all-knowing. The ego feeds on prevailing opinions. The spirit looks within.

The ego isn’t the enemy but it does seek attention – your attention. It asks you to pay attention to the changes around you. Do not ignore symptoms. Do not look outside yourself for the answers. Your body has your answers. You only need to listen.

Every challenge can be an opportunity from which to realign the ego and the spirit. Doubting yourself is normal. Contradictory thoughts come and go like clouds. Let them move across your sky. Pain does not have to define you. Pain can inform and be transformed into wisdom. This is the point of  “awakening,” the point of alignment between ego and spirit.

The Journey of Choice

Self-healing is a journey of choice. You can choose to continue in the same direction, the direction of pain, or to break new ground to be pain-free – a breakdown or a break-through.

Choosing to purposely alter your path is done at great risk of the unknown. It is a journey into the Self, from the surface to the depths, from the seen to the unseen, from the physical body to the True Self. To choose this road less traveled, is to choose the path of Nature.

Plugged into the digital world, you may find yourself disconnected from Nature. You may silence your voice, in favor of other’s opinions. You may perceive yourself as small. You may be diagnosed with an autoimmune dis-ease.

An estimated 50 million people live with autoimmune dis-ease. Autoimmunity occurs when your body’s immune system malfunctions. It exists when your body decides that healthy cells are foreign invaders and mounts an attack against itself. In this unfortunate case of “friendly fire,” your body becomes a reluctant victim of your environment and of your choices—from the foods you eat to the thoughts you think. The attack of Self defines the Age of Victimhood.

Reconnecting to Nature, you see the larger you, the innovator. You see your gifts and choose to unwrap them.

On the path from victim to innovator it is critical to accept responsibility for your body and its wisdom to heal itself. Health is not found in any system or pill box. You free yourself to heal by trusting your gut to find your own answers. Health, like happiness, is an inside job and a birthright. No one else is authorized to hold the keys to our bodies unless consent is given. By your divine nature, you create your own health and heal your own dis-ease. Thus, healing is a reconnection of Self to Nature to find balance.

Therefore, to understand balance is to appreciate Nature. ‘To appreciate’ means to rise in value. Nature lives in patterns and layers, ecosystems and orchestras, informing and reflecting. To realign with your true nature, your True Self, is to align body, mind, and spirit.

On the physical level, your cell membrane is a permeable layer that interacts with other cells in its environment, choosing which ions to allow into the cell and which to repel. Likewise, your digestive tract is a permeable barrier that separates the food that nourishes our body from the blood that nourishes our cells. The skin also provides a permeable barrier between external and internal environments.

On a mental level, your perceptions are the permeable barrier for your beliefs and thoughts. When you make choices based on your heightened perceptions, you choose a path toward health or a path toward disease.

On an etheric level, your True Self acts as conductor of your life, and offers up opportunities for growth at the spiritual level. Emotions are the wild card. They can lead you toward balance or they can “run away with you.” You always have a choice.

The interactions between your cells, your body, and your choices all reflect your personal relationships. Your personal relationships reflect interactions between groups, communities, government, education, medicine, economies, entertainment, and religion. What you see around you IS you.

Look around. What appears to be the world falling apart at the seams — earth quaking, market manipulating, liberty crushing, rabble rousing, air polluting, industry-controlling, disease exploding, medical mandating — is the current pattern of humanity.

Is humanity evolving or devolving?

The repeating destructive patterns in dysfunctional relationships never change until each of us addresses the wounds inside. Do you trust other people’s opinions or do you trust your inner compass, your gut, your intuition? Do you believe you are helpless, with no control over your life, or are you an innovator that always finds a way?

Inside Out Healing

Since self-healing is individual, all healing starts with you. Your choices do not change the world. They change the world you occupy. Since this world is malleable, not solid, there are many probable worlds, each one based on how we perceive it. Perception changes as we change since we see only what our current view holds; whether it is the duality or non-duality, the reductionist medical view or the holistic natural view, the victim or the innovator.

Since everything outside is a dynamic reflection of what you perceive, first go within to adjust your lens. You can begin to work with your inner terrain, your gut; the center of your immune system and your intuition. Holes in your gut reflect holes in your aura. Holes in your aura leave you vulnerable to energy loss from energy vampires. As you heal your inner terrain, you heal your energetic layers. You restore your energy. You begin to sew yourself back together from the inside out.

During this time of Big Change, you may feel out of balance physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. You may experience migraines, joint pains, and sleep problems. You may feel your energy being sucked by those around you. You may experience a breakdown in relationships, a job loss, or a decline in health. You can choose whether your healing journey will be experienced as a roadblock or as a steppingstone by the choices you make on a daily basis. Do you choose a drug to suppress emotions and symptoms, or do you find a new way? Each choice has consequences.

You are not faced with anything that you are unable to handle. You are both ego and spirit. You are multidimensional and limitless. Reclaim responsibility for what’s yours. Why limit yourself by what you see in the mirror? There is no Law of Limitations.

This is an exciting time to be alive. Why not be proactive instead of reactive? Positive instead of negative? To adapt to a shift you only need to shift with the shift, not against it. What you resist persists. The most important thing when faced with a challenge is to know who you are. You do not require any technology since you came here with everything you need.

Start with you. Reconnect with yourSelf. You cannot serve from an empty vessel. Question everything. Turn apathy into action. Embrace your e-motions, your energy in motion. Start with self-forgiveness. Self-forgiveness breeds forgiveness of others. Self-love breeds love for others. When you heal your emotional patterns, you heal your relationship with yourself, your relationship with others, and your relationship with the planet. The microcosm is the macrocosm.

The Shift

As you transform from victim to innovator, the world you occupy shifts. Relationships that do not evolve will fall apart. You create a new reality for yourself. Such is Nature.

And your nature is Nature.

See each challenge as an opportunity to receive a personal message of healing from spirit. This is your opportunity to move yourself and the rest of humanity forward, through your healing journey. The life journey is the healing journey.
