Government was created to protect, serve, and promote individual rights to life, liberty and happiness. Thomas Jefferson once said, “Man is not made for the State, but the State for man, and it derives its powers from the consent of the governed.” The Constitution recognizes the rights of the State and of the People, allowing for a limited federal government that is restricted to specific, enumerated powers.

Yet today’s government, with its regulatory tentacles (CDC, AMA, FDA, EPA), fails to ensure the freedoms of the People. Instead, it attempts to control life, liberty, happiness… and personal responsibility.

Government “approves” products through regulations that later prove neither safe nor effective: antibiotics create Super bugs. Vaccines create viral shedding and outbreaks of infectious disease in vaccinated populations. GMO terminator seeds create infertile plants and Super weeds. Government-sanctioned mining and fracking creates toxic drinking water. Regulated processed foods create foodborne illnesses.

New regulations further decrease choice in a so-called “free marketplace.”  As the earth, air, and water are laid to waste, all life bears the cost. As of 2013, America now ranks dead last out of 17 industrialized nations in health status according to a study by the National Research Council and the Institute of Medicine.  We the People appear helpless and diseased yet fail to see that the virus lives in our own inaction and apathy.

Many States still enjoy access to local, healthy foods thanks to active government oversight by the People. The Dairy State of Wisconsin has a long history of sustainable, small-scale farming and access to natural, fresh, and unprocessed foods with limited restrictions. Direct farm-to-consumer sales are expanding due to an increased demand by a health conscious and vigilant public who see food borne outbreaks and illness rising in the regulated foods industry.

Enter Big Dairy and their Big Dollars which are flowing into Wisconsin from outside sources. They see the Real Food Movment as a direct threat to their shrinking bottom line.  Working hand-in-hand with State and federal governments, Big Dairy is co-engineering new ways to restrict access to raw milk nationwide.

Through onerous regulations that would run small farms out of business, or underground, the goal is to crush the competition. This type of power grab dates back to 1855 when the AMA developed their Code of Ethics and strong-armed America’s first national medical society, the American Institute of Homeopathy, out of the mainstream for the crime of being homeopaths.

The same playbook is being used against the Natural Health and Supplement Industry to eliminate free choice. Under arbitrary new guidelines, FDA seeks to criminalize any research on natural supplements, or turn them into drugs that are regulated. Never mind that nature is not patentable or that the FDA is not a rule-making agency. Their message is clear; “if you can’t beat them, shut them down.”

These unlawful policies and practices represent a direct threat to life, liberty, and happiness. According to our Bill of Rights, true Government has only those powers delegated to it by the People. When government engineers the “planned obsolescence” of fundamental rights, government, itself, becomes obsolete.

It is high time to stop our complacency and co-dependency. When we are dependent upon another’s approval, our rights become privileges, which can be taken away. We need to grow up and reclaim our people power to choose what is best for each of us. Then we need to come together in numbers where there is strength.

Ireland has discovered that people power is capable of instigating change and awakening the ability to fight the system of corruption. Now that they have started to challenge the wrong in legislation and government there is no stopping them. Right now and for weeks there are tens of thousands of people on the streets in Ireland opposing corruption and government tyranny. We need this to happen everywhere! Let Ireland be the first domino.

The alternative is unthinkable. The choice is still ours. Are we free and independent, or do we beg to be governed?
